Wrecks
in Sweden
Each
image to the left represents a larger image collection of a wreck
(Name found below each image). To zoom in on the collection of a wreck, just click

The
waters around Sweden, known as the Baltic Sea and Kattegat, is
a very interesting area for the wreckdiver. Several ships has
been lost here through time. Mostly because of war and catastrophic
insidents like collisions, etc.
Among
the most remarkable wrecksites of the Baltic Sea (If not in the
whole World!), is the lefts of the historic Submarine Massacre
in 1915, were the english Submarine, E-19 sank four german ships
in just one day. Not by torpedoes, but mainly by opening the valves
at the bottom of the ship, after the crew was told to leave in
the rescueboats. Today that means very intact and interesting
wrecks, found in a right upstanding position from the seabed,
about 40 meter below the surface.
